The first chapter

In January I had an epiphany… I wasn’t getting any younger. The book ideas
swirling through my head as I lay down each night weren’t going to manifest
without a bit of work on my part. So, I finally sat down in front of my
computer to write.

I was going to write a book about dragons. Instead, I wrote the first book
in the Reclaiming Magic Series. Even now, as I work through development edits
to smooth out the rough edges in ‘A Raven Sings’, I’m still amazed at what
unfolded as I started typing. No outline, no formal training, no Grammarly,
just me and my computer. Thus began the first chapter for what has become quite
the adventure.

Today, I’ve got a rough draft of book 3 nearly finished. I’ve still got some
work to do before publishing ‘A Raven Sings’. But, it all began because I
finally chose to prioritize the dream over the practical. Despite not being ready
for prime time, the sense of accomplishment is huge. My hope, above all others,
is that I put out a compelling story about interesting characters.

Chapter 1 is nearing closure, I’m ready for Chapter 2!
